Croix Blanche Peg 01 - The Willow

Peg 01 is on the Croix Blanche lake in the shade of a large weeping willow.
It gives an excellent view up the lake from the bottom end.
It is a quiet out of the way peg and as such sees very little pressure.

This peg fishes best in the early summer from May to early July, when the water is deeper. Later in the summer fish can be seen cruising but rarely get caught.

The first time I fished this peg on my birthday back in 1999 I had a lovely brace of thirties to 35lb.
